Everything outside a certain area surrounding the continent may reset after the update to 1. Currently the world has no world border. The first on-screen death of the Season belongs to Grian who died by an Iron Golem, but TangoTek had died to an Iron Golem before the recording session started.

Iskall85 and EthosLab decided quickly to travel together and came across a shattered savannah biome where they decided to start building. The three of them decided to race each other for who gets a diamond first.

First they went mining, but as it was unsuccessful they decided to go searching elsewhere. After this successful encounter they return to TangoTek 's starting area to build their starter bases. MumboJumbo and Grian ventured to the north to find a place to set up camp. On their journey to the north they came upon GoodTimesWithScar swimming through the ocean and brought him along with them.

These three started a pact and decided that they would build their bases together. PearlescentMoon and ImpulseSV both found the group and decided to join as well.

This lead to the five all basing together in the north, with the center being the Boatem Pole , and in turn, became the Boatem Town. The RV lands on a beach on the northwestern coast of the continent. Docm77 found a mysterious book in a shipwreck, which holds coordinates to a mysterious chunk dubbed the " Hermatrix ".

Rendog and Docm77 logged off for 2 minutes, which bought MumboJumbo and Grian just enough time to loot the shipwreck before Rendog and Docm77 logged back on. After rescuing goats near the Boatem Pole, Rendog and Docm77 dug a 6-block perimeter around this mysterious chunk.

After some shenanigans and a server restart the chunk is filled with eight spawners. Cubfan starts the season by explaining that he has no concrete plans. After travelling north he comes across Rendog's and Docm77's early starter base, a village near soon to be Boatem Town from where he travels east and comes across a plains near an ocean, where he dugs a cave for himself.

While early game mining he comes across a zombie spawner and FalseSymmetry, who happened to be mining near the same area. He later teams up with Cubfan on a mining mission. Done mining he goes back to his swamp and dugs himself a slime themed hole in the ground. VintageBeef also travels north and comes across a nice flat mountain to build on. He builds a blueprint and starts building a disc. He also travels to the End and gets himself an elytra.

Later, Grian makes a giant tree golem that holds MumboJumbo's Van that becomes his new official starter base. He names it Treesa. Instead of there being a centralized shopping district like in previous seasons, all the shops in Season 8 are scattered throughout the continent.

A secret room with a lone loot chest surrounded by four torches on dark oak fences at each corner of the otherwise empty room. These rooms generate only on the first floor. A secret room with a platform of orange wool in the middle and a ring of green wool above it, giving it the appearance of a stronghold End portal with lava underneath.

Cobblestone stairs and infested cobblestone allow access to the ring, which has a trapped chest containing two Ender pearls flanked by two TNT blocks. If the trap is sprung, the TNT breaks the infested cobblestone and reveals silverfish which swarm the player.

A secret room divided into two tiers, with the first one having nothing of interest but the hidden upper one containing a chest at each of its two ends. These rooms may be located on the upper two floors. A room with four cobblestone jail cells of slightly differing sizes.
