Can files upload download at the same time

The problem is the file is very large 3gb for example. And we can't store the download file into memory of the phone which is very limited and upload it later. The idea behind is we will download and upload the byte array at the same time. For example, if we have downloaded 5mb, we will upload 5mb to the server immediately and dispose the 5mb out of the memory.

Any idea how i can achieve this? Will i able to implement some kind of Custom "Stream" that will be provided for the HttpClient which can download the same time it provide the binary for the HttpClient? If I put it at 10 max permitted only 4 at a time say "Transfering" The rest say connecting so I put it at 4 and its doing OK and a bit faster :. Unless you have somehow shaped connection or the server does it on its own , you shouldn't get higher speeds from multiple connections - it'll just transfer the files and split the bandwidth amongst them.

With lots of small files you could get faster overall transfer No large benifits with large files, but drastic improvement on small ones. If you have lots of small files to transfer you know what also makes it faster! I just raise mine until I started getting errors transferring files.

On my home connection that is 5. At work I do That is to the same FTP server. What formats does tar support? I was going to transfer a 7zip most compressed but not sure if tar supports it. What does tar have to do with that if your going to use 7zip? I only have access to a bash shell to where I transfer the file. Thats why behind my question :. So you can use what you want? Dagon I do. You think I should write my own proxy or are there proxies I can configure that way?

As mentioned it's pretty broad question and I imagine the specifics of an optimal solution would also depend on the file type. You may also explore some opportunistic strategy if you can predict which files are most likely to be requested.
